Paraben’s CSI Stick

Submitted by Technology News & Review on Friday, 5 September 2008No Comment

It is not always the technology that you see on television, pure wishful thinking screenplay writer. In the U.S. series “CSI” shows Forensicer times like any mobile phone connected to a computer and seconds later, the data on the screen. Anyone who has his own cell phone times his computer, it will only tired smile. But the technology actually exists. It is a USB stick to a mobile phone connected and the stored data are immediately downloaded. And it does not matter whether the phone with a PIN secured.

The CSI USB Flash Drive has several articles with which the stick directly to a mobile plug connectors. About a controller then activated the download and it is then downloaded really what is in mobile phone hidden.

In order to extract the data, we need a software, the special memory format of the CSI sticks out. And then picks the last secret from the data.

That would include:

* Contact list
* SMS
* MMS
* Mails
* Photos and Videos
* Deleted data
* Data received and made calls
* Passwords from Palm OS systems
* Windows CE registry
* Cell phone SIM card information

So far, neither the stick nor the software available for everyone, but cheap is not the case. The U.S. manufacturer Paraben offers the stick for moderate 199 U.S. dollars, but to exploit all the possibilities, you need to have the 895 U.S. dollars expensive forensic Device Seizure additional software.
